Seventeen months ago in April 2011, I applied for IBM's Corporate Service Corp program (http://www.ibm.com/ibm/responsibility/corporateservicecorps/). I looked at it as a rare, unique opportunity to contribute to real goodness during a time of pretty tough business/economic struggles. Either that, or I was having a bit of a mid-life crisis :-)
Rarely in life, do we have the chance to completely let go of the
day-to-day, and go wherever we feel led. After talking it over with my family...I applied not knowing if I would get accepted, where I would end up, when I would go, or what I would be doing.This is a pretty tough set of circumstances for someone who "loves me some control!" Those of you who know me understand that statement!
Special thanks to my family, friends, and co-workers for supporting me through this adventure. I feel blessed to have you all in my life :-)
We'll see how this blogging goes...I'm old enough to say that social media is a bit scary. Although, I am excited to share with you every time I brush my teeth, and I am sure you all are excited about that as well! lol
